Reflection Series
What do reflections mean to me? This new series contemplates the many levels of meaning that come to me as I look at reflections in the water.
Literally, the constant change of light, movement and color captures my artistic side. Metaphorically, this saddens me, displaying the fleeting sense of time, and the transience of our lives in the universe. So short . . . so precious.
Painting this series puts me back in that moment of discovery and reflection when I am by the sea or a lake. I hope to capture this feeling of the momentary delight in seeing this expression of nature’s continual transformation.
